Movies… Review and discussion

Rock on

Yesterday itself I had seen it sixth time so it’s easier to discuss it. Its one of the best movie I had ever seen… although there is nothing special in the movie but this everyday common man’s movie is the need of hour because we have here a huge bunch of youngsters in India who are ambitious and sometime over ambitious, and because of which more than two third of them are depressed and trying to maintain equilibrium in their life, in workplace, in home and most important thing is that in this effort they forget about the most important person of their life and that’s them.

It had tried to remind us about this most important person of our life, ourselves…. We all are starving hard to meet the ends…. To fulfill expectation of our parents, our spouse, and our job but in all this we scarcely get the time to think about ourselves…. Every youngster has a dream of be somewhere, to get on the top of the field they love….. but I don’t think even 20% of them get a chance to chase their dream… many a reasons are their… financial problems or parental interruptions but that tease of not being able to fulfill our dream is like a nightmare which is haunting nearly all the middle aged person… this film is nothing but the manifestation of this with a fairytale ending…. But what will be your ending that’s depends on you….

Story is of four youngsters who want to be rock star Aditya, Joe, KD and Rob of “magik” band, who are in their way but due to various misunderstandings the band broke up and after 10 years when they meet again they tried to fulfill their dream. Storyline is simple and everyone knows what’s going to happen next but the story is weaven so swiftly that the pace of the story never let the audients to feel bore.

The music is the soul of movie… all the songs are really rocking especially socho jara… and meri laundry ka ek bill… They feel like oxygen in the film because the dull life of these people get regenerates by innovation of flashbacks and the songs… In India there is very low percentage of people who loves rock music but the songs are framed so nicely that it had essence of rock, flavor of bollywood music and some lyrics too….

Every character has their own importance in the film, and in this respect its different from other movies which has specified Hero and villain… every character had good and bad side….. And in everyday life too nobody is totally good or bad it’s just the percentage of that character which varies from person to person… Its Farhan Akhtar debut film but from nowhere he looks debut artist… (Neither he is so new in industry as he has given some of the magnificent movies of bollywood such as dil chahta hai , Lakshya) He is so natural in acting and singing that it shows his perfection. Arjun rampal really impress this time actually it’s the first time I had seen expression in his face… Girls had also done their part well…. While seeing the film it never felt that we are seeing a screenplay but it appears that we are seeing our own life… Apart from artificiality of bollywood this type of movie is like a breeze of fresh air…
